J. Morrissey & Co. has a fantastic opportunity available! We are currently seeking experienced Clinically-focused Medical Assistants with phlebotomy experience for a great new opportunity centrally located in Hartford, CT! This is a Temp-To-Hire opportunity!
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Perform EKG’s, blood draws, POCT testing
- Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Assist front desk as needed to schedule appointments and to check lab results
- Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Skills and Knowledge
- Must have certification/ diploma from a medical assistant program
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant and must be proficient with phlebotomy- recent on the job experience!
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Schedule & Location Information
- The position is 40 hours a week as a Medical Assistant
- Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Work Location: Hartford CT, NO TRAVEL!
