Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
$28-30/ hr
Wethersfield, CT (fully on-site)
4+ month contract, can be extended
In partnership with one of our top clients, we are hiring for a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join the accounting team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the AP Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accounts, managing invoices, and working with vendors to resolve invoices. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
Responsibilities
- Review and process invoices weekly, coding and assigning them to the respective general ledger accounts
- Collaborate with vendors regarding past due invoices
- Review expense reports, ensuring company standards and rules are abided by
- Pay sales tax
- Reconcile AP statements and reports monthly
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years in accounts payable
- MS Excel
