Patient Transporter
$18/hr

Job Description
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Patient Transporters/Orderlies. This position requires a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Patient Movement: Safely transport patients throughout the hospital, including to and from tests, procedures, and discharge points. Use wheelchairs or beds as appropriate.
- Discharge Assistance: Respond promptly to discharge requests, ensuring patients are transported to the front door or designated pick-up area.
- Chart Delivery: Efficiently deliver patient charts and records to the appropriate floors or departments.
- Morgue Transport: Assist with the respectful and dignified transport of deceased patients to the morgue when required.
- Rotating Schedule: Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend and holiday shifts.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred, or education in the healthcare field
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing wheelchairs or beds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and professional demeanor
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
