Senior Administrative Assistant
Location: New Haven, CT
Job Type: Contract (Potential to Hire)
Hours: 15 hours per week (transitioning to full-time)
Pay Rate: $30/hr
Responsibilities
- Office Coordination: Oversee daily office activities, serving as a resource for employees, managers, and vendors.
- Staff Management: Assist in coordinating the activities of office staff.
- Financial Support: Prepare materials for grants, contracts, and budgets; monitor expenditures and process expense reports.
- Editing Support: Proofread and edit publications to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Event Coordination: Plan and organize departmental events, such as conferences and seminars.
- Visitor Management: Greet visitors and handle communications in person and over the phone.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule meetings and travel for the leadership team; take meeting minutes as needed.
- Office Management: Maintain organized filing systems and manage office supplies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of administrative support experience preferred; an Associate's degree or diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
