Job Description
Specialty physician office in greater Hadley / Amherst, Mass area!
Pay rate range $17 - $20/hr (depends on experience)
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 4 days / one day 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM,
Summary of Duties:
- Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record to schedule and register new patients by collecting demographic, insurance, and billing information
- Answers phones calls, schedules patients, collects co-payments and balances, registers new patients
- Takes detailed messages and directs to appropriate clinic staff
- Performs day – to – day administrative functions and general office duties, including but not limited to copying, scanning, filing, faxing and data entry
- Welcomes and greets patients to the practice in a manner that is helpful and friendly and directs patients appropriately
- Maintains patient waiting area, office files and front – desk areas in an organized manner
- Manages patient documents and communicates patient needs to their providers
