Accounts Payable Specialist
East Hartford, CT
$22-25/hr, depending on experience
In partnership with a local client of ours, J. Morrissey is hiring for a driven Accounts Payable Specialist who is eager to learn and grow within a company that offers upward mobility and opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards
- Process invoices and manage accounts payable
- Support accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Assist in financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports for management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Previous accounting or finance internship, or at least one year of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
