Benefits Specialist - Leave Management
Pay Range: $30 - $43/hour (based on experience)
Location: New Haven, CT
Duration: 6-10 months
Schedule: Hybrid, 8:30am - 5pm
We are looking for a skilled Temporary Leave of Absence Specialist to support a busy Human Resources team. This position involves managing a high volume of leave and disability-related inquiries, ensuring accurate processing, and maintaining compliance with established policies. The ideal candidate has strong experience in leave of absence and disability benefits and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Handle and resolve up to 100 absence-related claims monthly using Salesforce and Workday.
- Educate and support employees regarding leave, disability benefits, and accommodations.
- Accurately process leave entries and ensure alignment with company policies.
- Communicate ticket statuses and resolutions clearly to employees and department leaders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in absence management platforms.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members as needed.
- Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the Absence Management team.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in leave management
- Strong understanding of leave of absence and disability benefits.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Workday (or similar systems).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of inquiries efficiently.
