Business Development Manager (Staffing)
Location: Glastonbury, CT – Hybrid work schedule
Employment Type: Full-Time
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing accounts. In this role, you will serve as the key link between client companies seeking top talent and our recruiting team, which delivers exceptional candidates for temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions.

Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting

Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, networking, industry events, and referrals

Develop and execute proactive outreach strategies to generate new job orders
Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, company leaders, and other key decision-makers

Develop a deep understanding of client staffing needs, business challenges, and hiring timelines, and effectively articulate how our recruitment teams can support

Collaborate closely with recruiting teams and company leadership to ensure client success
Sales Strategy & Execution

Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals (KPIs) related to job orders, revenue, and profitability

Build, manage, and grow a healthy sales pipeline of prospective companies and contacts
Negotiation & Closing

Negotiate pay rates, bill rates, contract terms, and fee structures to maximize profitability

Close new business and expand existing client accounts
Quality Control

Conduct regular client check-ins to ensure satisfaction with placed candidates

Address and resolve client concerns or issues promptly and professionally
Reporting & Administration

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline data within the CRM system

Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred

1–2 years of sales experience; B2B sales experience in the staffing or recruiting industry strongly preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation and presentation abilities

Results-driven mindset: self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Relationship builder: strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to establish trust across diverse stakeholders

Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

Base salary of $45,000–$55,000, based on experience, plus potential for uncapped commission and bonus
