Job Description
Must be Certified
Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge.
Requirements:
o High School diploma or GED
o CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association
o Great interpersonal skills, compassionate care giver and able to work in a fast paced environment a MUST.

Education:
GED or HiSET (Required)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support – American Heart Association, Certified Medical Assistant
1. Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA) – (Minimum Requirement)
2. Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association
3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA); or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). – Credentialing must be awarded by a third-party credentialing body which can be obtained through:
1. Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA) – (Minimum Requirement)
2. Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association
3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA); or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
4. Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).

Melissa started her career as a Certified Medical Assistant, which provided her with valuable insights into the Healthcare Industry, helping to form strong connections with clients and candidates. Prior to joining J. Morrissey, Melissa was the Director of Career Services at Premier Education Group, where she performed various career development functions and achieved company benchmark placement rates.
Melissa has 3 beautiful Golden Retrievers, Callah, Cooper and Miracle. She enjoys spending time at the beach, cruising and watching amazing sunsets whenever she can.
