About The Opportunity

In partnership with our longstanding manufacturing client J. Morrissey is actively in the search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This person will lead the company through its continued growth and manage all finance and IT related functions. As a partner of the executive team, this person is expected to work closely with the CEO and COO to achieve the company's revenue growth. The CFO should be strategic minded and able to mentor the Senior Management team to help push the organization to new heights.  This position requires working and leading the team on-site full time, no remote or hybrid capabilities.  Occasional travel will be required. 

Highlight of Responsibilities 

Maintain monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
Develop budgets and strategic multi-year forecasts
Manage company's audit, tax and banking relationship 
Manage the monthly close - including analysis and reporting
Analyze and interpret company's financial and operating results
Complete annual audit report
Manage all accounting, tax and audit compliance
Lead and mentor accounting staff


Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
MBA or advanced degree highly preferred
CPA preferred
10+ years as a Senior Financial Executive in manufacturing environment required
Experience working in an Aerospace environment highly preferred 
Experience with a Private Equity led business a plus


Salary - $225k - $250k (DOE), attractive benefits package to include medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, 401k.

Prior to joining J. Morrissey, Colin was a Contracts and Recruiting Manager at a national recruiting and staffing firm where he led a team of recruiters focusing on sourcing and filling skilled positions across manufacturing, engineering and distribution industries. While there he learned various management styles, industry trends, sales techniques and situational leadership skills.

Colin is actively involved with Quinnipiac Valley Chamber of Commerce, Bristol Continuing Education, and the Central Connecticut State University Alumni Association. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University. His recruiting and staffing industry knowledge enables him to communicate effectively with his candidates and clients to ensure good matches on both sides.
