Client Support Specialist – Financial Services
Location: Glastonbury, CT (fully on-site)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time
Compensation: $25.00 – $31.25/hour (based on experience and certifications) + discretionary quarterly bonus
Overview
Opportunity with a growing wealth management practice to directly support a successful Financial Advisor. This role is ideal for a candidate who aspires to become a Financial Advisor long term, though individuals interested in a career track focused on client services, administration, and operations are also to be considered.
This position offers direct mentorship and hands-on exposure to financial planning, investment operations, and client relationship management within a professional, team-oriented office environment. There is consistent bonus potential and meaningful long-term growth opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Manage advisor calendar and prepare client meeting materials (performance reports, asset allocations, trade updates)
- Assist with financial plan data entry and maintenance
- Process new accounts, transfers, distributions, and ongoing account maintenance
- Maintain CRM system, manage workflow tasks, and document client interactions
- Coordinate with custodians and insurance carriers regarding service requests
- Participate in client meetings, take detailed notes, and assist with follow-up actions
- Respond to client inquiries related to account access, beneficiary updates, ACH setup, cost basis, and tax reporting
- Provide marketing support including newsletters, seminars, and social media initiatives
- Ensure adherence to all compliance, security, and regulatory policies
- Execute trades under advisor direction upon obtaining appropriate licenses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1+ year of administrative or financial services experience preferred
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in financial services
- Willingness to obtain SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must be willing to undergo criminal and credit background checks in compliance with industry regulations
Non-Registered FINRA Staff: $45,000 – $56,000 base + discretionary bonus
Registered FINRA Staff (SIE, Series 7, Series 66, etc.): $52,000 – $65,000 base + discretionary bonus, with opportunity to build a book of business and earn commission
