Controller
Windsor, CT **Fully on-site**
$115-150k, depending on experience
In partnership with a unique and growing local business, we are recruiting for an experienced Controller with excellent leadership and management skills lead our client’s accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 510 accounting staff members and provide hands on training, leadership, and mentorship
- Oversee and approve all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, closings, and reconciliations
- Manage high volume daily banking/treasury activities
- Approve daily wires and ensure allocation to proper accounts
- Review, approve, and present financial statements and information to leadership team
- Approve asset/liability accounts
- Implement processes improvement initiatives as needed
- Assist with compensation planning and analysis
- Work alongside CPA firm on a weekly basis
- Support CPA with yearly tax returns
- Process 1099s
- Approve credit and assess customer risk
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required
- CPA is preferred
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least three years being at the Manager or Controller level
- Must have advanced leadership and team management skills
