Data ETL Pipeline Engineer - Hybrid
Job Description
Our client in Northern Hartford County is looking to add an Engineer to their Data/BI team, in this role you will take the lead in building robust data ETL pipelines and business workflows. This role offers a collaborative working environment and great opportunity for career advancement.
Hybrid schedule – 3 days WFH, 2 days in office
Office located in the Bloomfield, CT area
Base salary range $90,000 - $110,000 + bonus and benefits
Duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders and the greater IT team to gather requirements and deliver high quality/scalable data solutions to meet evolving needs
- Design and build ETL pipelines for data collection, transformation, and storage from multiple sources including MES, ERP, MS SQL and Oracle databases, and LMS
- Implement automated data validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes to improve quality and consistency
- Implement custom functionality into the ERP system to boost performance
- Follow data policies, controls, and strategy to ensure enterprise data is secure, accurate, and reliable
- Update documentation on data dependencies, flow, and linage
- Stay up to date on current industry trends and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant professional experience
- 5+ years of experience within data engineering with experience working with an ERP system or LMS
- Experience with RDBMS (MS SQL, Azure SQL, Oracle databases
- Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex database solutions, with a focus on security, scalability, and performance optimization
- ETL and data pipeline development experience, proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL and developing stored procedures
- Strong knowledge of data security and governance best practices
- Custom ERP development experience, data warehouse design, and Python programming desired
