Embedded Software Architect- Manager

Job Description
Our client is a growing and thriving global manufacturing company looking to bring a high-level Architect to their team. In this role you will be working closely with product owners, managers, and firmware/software engineers to launch a new product line offering. Direct hire position, base salary range 150 – 200K 10% bonus and a very strong benefits package
On site role, HQ located in New Haven County, Stratford CT area **Relocation assistance provided**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, product managers, the embedded software team, and client facing support groups throughout the entire product development lifecycle
- Directly lead and mentor the solutions engineering team,
- Ensure the successful technical alignment between hardware, embedded software/firmware, and system software teams (local and global)
- Define and describe solutions context and intent, analysis tradeoffs, nonfunctional requirements and ensure product fitness for intended purpose
- Identify risk and critical system interfaces
- Research and evaluate new technologies or patterns of use that can be used to improve the platform
- Locate areas requiring POC and initiate risk mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a software solutions engineering position
- Prior experience working with embedded firmware development and requisite programming (Embedded C, C++)
- Knowledge of firmware development, testing, and test automation development
- Experience with serial communication with IoT devices over IP/USB/BLE, Zigbee/matter, mobile device applications and encryption
- Prior experience with SoC devices, RTOS
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum
- Must have ability to interface with product owners, managers, electrical engineers, firmware/software engineers, production, and outside vendors
- Ability to translate complex items to senior management
- Excellent communication both written and verbal is required for this role
