Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

  • Oversee workplace health and safety through implementation of safety programs and initiatives
  • Collaborate with management regarding health, safety, and ergonomic issues
  • Analyze current initiatives and procedures and recommend, develop, and implement corrective measures
  • Lead EHS committee
  • Investigate EHS incidents, determine cause, and prevent future incidents
  • Document incidents and compile incident reports
  • Ensure work areas and equipment meet OSHA compliance standards
  • Develop and execute EHS orientation programs and workshops
  • Ensure accessibility of safety equipment and supplies
  • Keeping up-to-date with federal and state EHS regulations
  • Other responsibilities as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or other industrial environment
  • Understanding of ISO 14000 and 45001
  • Employee relation skills
  • MS Office – Work and Outlook
  • Ability to interact with employees of all level
Compensation and benefits
  • $80-100k, depending on experience
  • Eligible for benefits upon permanent hire by our client – medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off for sick and vacation days, and 401(k) employer match

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University.
