Escalation Engineer L3 - Hybrid
Join a growing and well establish Information Technology Service Provider offering integrated solutions to small and mid-size businesses in the Central Connecticut and Western Massachusetts area. The Escalation Engineer will provide guidance and support for the Field Tech and Helpdesk teams while serving as the escalation point for network, server, Microsoft OS, and O365 related issues.
Direct hire, $70-100K, performance bonus, full benefits, *Employee owned Company*
Hybrid/Remote Schedule
Escalation Engineer Primary Duties:
- Respond to tier 3 tickets escalated from the Helpdesk or Field Technicians and serve as the main point of contact for VIP clientele
- Troubleshoot SonicWall's, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, Exchange Server, VPN, O365, email/internet, and VOIP issues
- Configure Allworx VOIP phone systems and support Field Technicians with related issues
- Maintain, supervise, and provide security for the company’s internal network.
- Diagnose and resolve server issues and assist in installation of new server hardware
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to MSFT Applications (Exchange, SQL Server, O365)
- Create and maintain SharePoint and technical documentation
- Aid in asset management and collaborate with various vendors, Microsoft, Cisco, Etc...
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Information Technology or Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA certifications preferred
- 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting SonicWall's, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, Windows Servers, Cloud Services, and VOIP Systems
- Prior experience pre configuring Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and sever hardware
- Strong experience with Exchange, O365, Active Directory, Package Tracing, Proofpoint, StorageCraft, and Allworx VOIP desired
- Must have excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills
