Job Description

Healthcare Finance Director
As a member of the senior management team reporting to the CFO, oversee two direct reports Grants manager and Controller.  Participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the mission for providing health services to the community in addition to maintaining an awareness of changes in healthcare matters that could have an impact on the success of the outpatient services provided.

Responsibilities   include, but are not limited to:

Leads the financial forecasting, and strategic planning and analysis for various services including, pharmacy, pediatric, adult, behavioral care funded by federal grants and Medicaid to sustain long term financial performance and growth.
Creates and tracks budgets and analysis for each subdivision that includes outpatient clinics that qualify for specific reimbursement systems under Medicare and Medicaid.
Oversee the Grant fundings including reconciliation, grant billing and expenses. Works with Grant Manager regarding grant funding allocation and required reporting and documentation. 
Understands the various federal funding sources including ACO reimbursement for fee-for-service and Medicare Risk Adjustments.
Conducts operational analysis and identifies areas for cost saving and improvements
Monitor’s metrics and performance for cost saving and federal reimbursement opportunities.
Ensures compliance reporting and funding allocations are reported correctly and within regulatory guidelines by CMS.
Prepares monthly reports for the Board of Directors including accounting, budgetary, audits, tax and other financial planning activities within the healthcare organization. Represents the healthcare organization at meetings including medical staff, board of director meetings as well as relevant community meetings as needed
Working with system management to develop and implement policies and procedures, short- and long-range goals, objectives and plans.

Experience and Skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or finance
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare financial/accounting
  • progressive managerial experience in healthcare environment and reporting requirements of tax credits
  • FQHC or non profit background highly preferred
  • Advanced experience with Federal Grants Funding and Reimbursement including compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Advanced financial analysis, financial reporting and P&L using various financial software and Excel with knowledge of pivoting tables, VLOOKUP’s etc
  • nonprofit fund accounting
  • Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information concerning personal, financial, or medical matters
Full time salaried position $145-158K range -Medical benefits, tuition reimbursement, retirement savings plan, pto and holiday time off - longevity, growth and opportunity to work two day remote after onboarding period.
