Facilities Staff - Maintenance

Contract employment (potentially contract to hire for the right candidate)
J. Morrissey seeks a dedicated Maintenance/Custodial professional to manage facilities repairs, cleaning, and grounds for a local apartment complex.
** 1+ year of facilities maintenance experience is required **
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Assist with facilities repairs to HVAC and plumbing systems
- Replace light bulbs and smoke detector batteries.
- Pick up trash, trim shrubs, rake leaves, and remove debris.
- Keep walkways, parking areas, and outdoor spaces clean and safe.
- Perform seasonal tasks like snow removal and leaf blowing.
- Empty trash and restock restrooms.
- Clean common areas: hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, lobbies.
- Assist with apartment turnover cleaning.
- Report major repair needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in groundskeeping, janitorial, and maintenance work required.
- Basic maintenance knowledge.
- Must be willing to submit to background screening.
- Must be comfortable working inside and outside.
- Strong attention to detail and independence.
