Our client, an innovative early-stage technology company, is focused on improving indoor air quality (IAQ) to foster healthier living and working environments. They are seeking a Field Application Engineer to contribute to product development and customer engagement, helping drive the adoption of cutting-edge IAQ solutions. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment that values creativity and innovation.

Position Overview
The Field Application Engineer will begin with a focus on engineering development, including designing and prototyping new IAQ products. As the company grows, the role will expand to include field application support, with responsibilities such as providing on-site customer assistance, troubleshooting, and delivering strategic solutions.

Responsibilities

Engineering Development
  • Design and develop innovative IAQ products, participate in design reviews, and drive technical decisions.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Prototype and evaluate new product concepts using engineering software and rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Collaborate on-site with the team to enhance product performance.

Field Application Support
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing on-site support and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for customers.
  • Gather feedback from field tests to inform product enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and troubleshooting guides.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of experience in product development, design, and customer engagement.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and industrial electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD and simulation software, with experience in rapid prototyping techniques.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as the role evolves (initial travel is approximately 20%).
  • Residing in or willing to relocate to Danbury, Connecticut, or nearby areas.
