Duties: With limited supervision, responsible for conducting and documenting more complex financial analysis. Create financial models, conduct forecasting, provide financial planning and analysis of results. Present findings and make recommendations to management that results in business impact. May develop and implement reporting methods. Develop and implement reporting methods.


Specific responsibilities include:

Provide strategic and tactical consultation to the executive and senior leadership team.

Establish budget aligning to growth strategies and cost efficiency targets.

Update the non-headcount (cash) forecast.

Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained Demonstrate sound business judgment in an environment of rapid change and respond quickly to changes in direction, tight deadlines and high pressure situations


EXPERIENCE WITH: accruals, prepaid expenses, reconciliations, depreciation and amortization' s, Invoice tracking, process improvement, project cost analytics, Monthly close, Forecast analytics, Variance Analytics, Basic accounting skills, Meeting strict deadlines, Experience with expense allocations is a plus Experience with corporate accounting a plus



Bachelor' s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

5+ years’ experience in a senior financial managerial position

Strong executive presence skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: ability to convey complex issues, explain methodologies and influence resolutions in writing and orally Efficiency-minded and experienced in lean business systems Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office including Advanced Excel Hyperion and Think Cell are a plus Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner

Melissa has been with J.Morrissey for over 3 years and brings to us several years of career services and counseling experience. Melissa works with large and small companies in the Springfield area, and is responsible for managing new and current clients as well as recruiting and onboarding temporary candidates for temporary positions. 

Prior to joining J. Morrissey, Melissa was the Director of Career Services at Premier Education Group where she performed various career development functions and achieved company benchmark placement rates. Melissa started her career as a Certified Medical Assistant, which has provided her with valuable insights into the healthcare industry and has helped her form strong connections with her clients and candidates.
