Insurance Follow up Specialist

 

Our client, a very reputable CT based, nationally recognized Healthcare provider, is seeking to hire an Insurance Follow up Specialist. This person will be responsible for performing denials and under payments, analysis and insurance follow up/Healthcare A/R.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain work queue of your assigned accounts
  • Resolve denials to recover outstanding monies by understanding denial reason, researching internal and externally, and taking the necessary steps to take appropriate corrective action.
  • Navigate your assigned accounts website/portals
  • Identify denial trends and propose resolutions
  • Identify areas of improvement and work closely with manager to create positive outcome

 

Must haves:
  • 3+ years of experience in Insurance follow up, Medical Billing or Denials Analysis
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience in either Physician practice, Hospital, Third Party Billing or Managed Care
  • High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education
  • Medical Billing software experience
  • Strong communicator, both oral and written
  • ICD-10 coding experience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs and meet required deadlines
