Job Description
Human Resources Assistant
2-month contract; potential for extension or permanent hire
$18-20/hr (Depending on experience)
Fully on-site in Hartford, CT
The Human Resources Assistant will be primarily responsible for managing the entire onboarding process including coordinating background screenings, I-9 verifications, etc. You will also be responsible for handling HR file management and supporting other areas of HR as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full onboarding process post-offer acceptance, including preparing and processing background checks, I-9 verification, and other required documentation.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all onboarding paperwork and assist with new hire orientations.
- Manage and maintain employee HR files, ensuring all documentation is compliant and up-to-date.
- Assist with general HR administrative tasks such as scheduling interviews, answering employee questions, and supporting various HR functions as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and proper integration of new employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- 1+ years of experience in HR (internships count)
- Knowledge of the candidate onboarding process from start to finish.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with file management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
