IT Infrastructure Manager
Job Description
Our client is seeking a well-rounded, hands-on Infrastructure Manager to join their team. In this role you will be leading a team of well-rounded Infrastructure Engineers while spearheading key projects that promote the security and scalability of the IT environment.
Direct hire/full time, Bridgeport CT area
Salary range 120-150K + excellent benefits
Duties and responsibilities:
- Take ownership of and manage the Infrastructure and IT security environment, working cross functionally with all key internal stakeholders
- Continuously monitor and analyze IT systems and security platforms, upgrade systems when needed, control operating cost, and maintain productivity
- Lead key IT initiatives including the implementation of a cybersecurity framework, disaster recovery, risk mitigation strategies, server upgrade, and new location infrastructure builds
- Ensure that all IT systems/platforms are secure and scalable while eliminating system redundancy
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize any disruptions to daily operations and prevent data loss
- Conduct periodic audits to check the effectiveness of the security protocols
- Lead future hiring initiative to build up internal IT infrastructure team
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science preferred along with industry certifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with IT system management, and leading IT teams/initiatives in a multi-location company
- Extensive experience with IT Infrastructure, networking, and IT security/security protocols
- Strong knowledge of information security protocols, risk management, procurement, and inventory management
- Ability to work with and maintain relationships with vendor’s and managed service providers
- Prior experience monitoring and mentoring a technical team
- Ability to address both technical and non-technical audiences of all levels to work through problems that may arise
- Ability to present to and communicate with C-Level employees as it pertains to infrastructure initiatives and security
