IT Manager - Infrastructure & Security

Job Description
Our client is a niche manufacturer in Fairfield County and a leader in their industry, they are seeking a well-rounded, hands-on IT Manager to join their team. In this role you will be leading infrastructure and IT security initiatives including implementing an IT security framework. If you are an IT leader that likes to roll up your sleeves and work on key company projects, this is the role for you.
Direct hire/full time, HQ located n Fairfield County CT (convenient to metro line)
Salary range 140-170K and excellent benefits
Duties and responsibilities:
- Take ownership of and manage the IT and Security Infrastructure, working cross functionally with all key internal stakeholders
- Continuously monitor and analyze IT systems and IT security platforms, upgrade systems when needed, control operating cost, and maintain productivity
- Lead key IT initiatives including the implementation of a cybersecurity framework and DR plans
- Ensure that all IT Systems/Platforms are secure and scalable while eliminating system redundancy
- Develop and drive further IT goals, strategies/initiatives and take part in creation of IT operating budget
- Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize any disruptions to daily operations and prevent data loss
- Implement compliance standards, evaluate and update vendor contracts, take lead in VoIP replacement project
- Lead future hiring initiative to build up internal IT team
- Maintain current knowledge of IT best practices and technology trends
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science preferred along with industry certifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with IT system management, and leading IT teams/initiatives
- Extensive experience with IT Infrastructure, networking, and IT security
- Strong knowledge of information security protocols, risk management, procurement, and inventory management
- Prior experience monitoring and mentoring a technical team
- Ability to address both technical and non-technical audiences to work through problems that may arise
- Must have collaborative, proactive mindset with entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with all departments and levels of the organization
