IT Project Manager - SAP Specialist

Job Description
Our client is a leading global manufacturing company looking to add a key member to their project management team. In this role you will serve as a lead PM on a companywide ERP implementation as all locations become streamlined. Salary range, 130 – 150K with a strong benefits package
Flexible hybrid schedule, 2 days/week in office
Office HQ in the Manchester CT Area
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and drive projects with various business leaders, acting as the liaison between the IT team, business users, and vendors
- Understand, analyze, design, and implement various end to end solutions
- Act as a key PM for a company wide ERP implementation project, streaming the ERP system for all global locations
- Understand the business or function for which the application solution is designed, instruct/check work of other technical team members, and support/troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with global IT teams and SMEs to determine the technical direction and approach to the new system design and implementation
- Use established project management methodologies and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet all high-quality customer expectations
- Track ley project milestones and adjust project plans and or resources if needed to meet deadlines and user needs
- Create project plans and team work assignments, monitor and guide work efforts daily, identify resource needs, review for quality, escalate timeline, quality, or functional issues when needed
- Work with IT teams to handle test phases
- Organize the delivery of communication with all areas of the enterprise that affect scope, risk, budget, and resources
- Facilitate client and project teams interactions including scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, incident management, and release management
- Use PM methodologies and tools, change management techniques, and resource management practices through projects
- Serve as the key point of contact for application specific issues, questions, and solutions for customer business users and leaders
- Professionally engage with all levels of staff across the enterprise to manage relationships and expectations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is Information Technology or relevant professional work experience, Master’s degree strongly desired
- PMP certification
- 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management or relevant work experience
- In depth knowledge of MS Visio, JIRA, MS Project or other project management tools
- Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP highly desired) with prior ERP implementation project experience heavily desired
- Experience working within the manufacturing industry desired
- Must have fact based critical analysis skills and experience documenting complex technical ideas
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence a team
- Prior experience managing individual projects, development of plans, resolving issues, and delivering regular status reports
- Experience participating in all stages of the full project lifecycle
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with ability to speak to technical and nontechnical staff effectively
