Internal Security Infrastructure Administrator L2 - Hybrid

Job Description
Our client is leading Financial Company in the central CT area looking to expand their internal infrastructure security team. This company offers a tremendous amount of internal growth and career advancement opportunity in a very collaborative work environment.
Hybrid position (flexible) in the Newington, CT area
Salary range 80 – 105K and a very strong benefits package (generous PTO, health insurance, 401K match, tuition reimbursement)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the internal corporate security infrastructure, including network firewalls, next gen FortiGate firewalls, web app firewalls, MFA, IPS/IDS, and internet access web filtering
- Assist with DNS, email security, and request for service installations
- Be mainly responsible for internal security request with secondary occasional focus on external client request
- Manage break fixes, infrastructure reviews, and security monitoring
- Participate in intermediate and occasional advanced infrastructure project related work
- Take responsibility for the scripting and creation of service enhancements, create/maintain procedures and ensure documents are accurate
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or related/relevant work experience
- Desired certifications include, SANS, ISC2, CompTIA, CCSP
- 3 – 5 years’ experience supporting security orientated network services
- Must be able to support and maintain enterprise level security platforms including WAF, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Web filtering/proxy
- Strong understanding of internet protocols (HTTP, TLS, SMTP, FTP, DNS) and network protocols (Ethernet, OSPF, TCP/IP)
- Must be able to work within a Windows and Linux based environment
- Bash, PowerShell, Python scripting knowledge desired
- Ability to design and implement security automation/self service desired
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical information
- Must have strong communication skills along with patience when working with internal customers
- A self-driven and collaborative mindset is key for success in this role
