Temp-to-Hire
Location: New Haven, CT (Fully On-Site)
Compensation: $80,000–$110,000, based on experience and qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger, and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of A/P, A/R, payroll, cash flow, and inventory accounting
- Construction, contracting, manufacturing, or other inventory-based industry experience preferred
- ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus
- Analytical, business-minded professional with the ability to provide financial insight and recommendations to ownership
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Supervise and assist with weekly payroll for approximately 60 employees
- Lead the monthly close process and prepare accurate financial reporting
- Perform cash flow forecasting and financial analysis to support business decisions
- Analyze costs, identify process improvements, and recommend operational efficiencies
- Manage inventory accounting and understand the financial impact of inventory transactions
- Partner directly with the owner to provide strategic financial guidance and support company growth
- Opportunity to oversee and mentor accounting staff
