CNC Maintenance & Facilities Technician
Job Description
What if your next role put you at the center of keeping a growing aerospace manufacturing operation running at its best? If you're an electrically minded facilities professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and keeping critical operations running smoothly, we'd love to speak with you.
We're partnering with a premier aerospace and precision manufacturing company in Fairfield County, CT that is seeking a CNC Facilities & Maintenance Manager to take ownership of facility reliability, equipment uptime, and preventative maintenance initiatives across the organization.
While CNC machine support is an important component of the role, this is not a traditional CNC repair position. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong electrical background who can oversee facility operations, troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate repairs, and serve as a key resource to both manufacturing and operations leadership.
This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to senior leadership and an opportunity to make a significant impact on production efficiency and long-term operational success.
This Role Is For Someone Who:
• Has a strong electrical background, ideally as a licensed or certified electrician
• Enjoys troubleshooting and solving complex equipment and facility issues
• Takes ownership of preventative maintenance and operational reliability
• Is comfortable managing vendors, contractors, and outside service providers
• Wants to play a critical role supporting a growing aerospace manufacturer
• Can balance hands-on work with project coordination and facility oversight
What You'll Be Doing:
• Managing the day-to-day maintenance and reliability of facility systems and manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshooting electrical issues involving CNC machines, facility equipment, controls, sensors, wiring, and related systems
• Performing basic CNC maintenance and minor repairs when appropriate
• Coordinating major CNC machine repairs and specialized service work with OEMs and third-party vendors
• Supporting production by minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability
• Developing and improving preventative maintenance programs and schedules
• Maintaining service records, maintenance logs, and equipment histories
• Managing facility-related projects involving utilities, water systems, lighting, compressed air systems, coolant systems, and general building infrastructure
• Working directly with manufacturing leadership to identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions
• Supporting multiple departments throughout the facility, including CNC machining, stamping, inspection, part marking, and related operations
Reporting Structure:
This role will work closely with the VP of Manufacturing, who serves as the organization's lead CNC engineering resource, as well as Operations leadership responsible for supporting departments throughout the facility. You'll have direct access to experienced technical leadership while maintaining ownership of facility maintenance initiatives.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out:
• Highly visible role with direct impact on company performance
• Opportunity to build and enhance preventative maintenance programs
• Strong partnership with manufacturing leadership
• Diverse responsibilities across facilities, equipment, and operations
• Growing aerospace manufacturer with continued investment and expansion
• Team-oriented environment that values proactive problem-solving and ownership
