Medical Assistant / Fridays Off

Our longstanding client, a healthcare organization, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a unique role in an out patient setting to become part of the team. This is a blended role where you will focus on both clinical and administrative duties that are supporting the patient. This position is a temporary to hire role meaning the goal is to have you become an employee of our client. At time of conversion, you will have access to a full benefit package.
A representative list of duties:
- Room patients
- Take Vitals and Patient History
- Discuss and update with the patient as to why they are there
- Obtaining test results and outside referrals
- Securing authorizations
- Document care
- Communicate with other providers and family
- Respond to patient calls
- Assist with referrals
- Follow up with the providers
- Manage prescriptions
This position is Monday through Thursday; 36 hours per week.
Monday through Wednesday the hours are 8: 00 to 6: 00 and Thursday is 8: 00 to 5: 00.
Hourly rate is $18.00 to $19.00 Per hour.
The position is in a very nice setting, easy to get to of highways and has free and easy parking.

Ally Wachtel is a Staffing Manager with our Healthcare Staffing Services group, and she has been with J. Morrissey for nearly five years. Ally focuses on temporary and temporary-to-hire positions. Some of the positions she recruits for are RN’s, LPN’s, Nurse Case Managers, Medical Assistants, Medical Coders, Medical Billers, Insurance Follow Up, Medical Secretaries, Medical Records, Patient Registration, Charge Entry, Payment Posting, Claims, Customer Service and any other position, either clinical or non-clinical, in a healthcare or healthcare insurance environment.
Prior to joining J. Morrissey, Ally worked for over 20 years in the financial industry as a Life Insurance Underwriter holding an Assistant Vice President title. While there, she was responsible for a number of initiatives including various recruiting efforts across her department.
