Bilingual Medical Claims 

Work for a growing 3rd Party Administrator that focus's on Healthcare Claim payments nationally. These transactions are for healthcare benefits, and medical payments including deductibles and co-payments. 

Monday through Friday: 11:30am - 8:00pm with 2 days  9:30am to 6:00pm

Pay Rate: $22.00 to $24.00 Per Hour based on Experience 

Job Responsibilities:

Resolve client health premiums and out of pocket medical expenses by reviewing medical documentation and looking at gaps in medical documentation or records that could help with payment guidelines.

A representative list of duties: 
  • Answer phones and respond to client inquiries related to payments made on their behalf. 
  • Make outgoing calls to clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to resolve coding, payment, and billing issues. 
  • Identify, research and resolve client issues.
  • Ensure payment processing timeliness and accuracy are met.
  • Send follow up letters approval and denial letters.

Required Skills:
  • Associate’s Degree preferred  
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak Spanish/English!
  • Experience with Insurance Follow up / Medical billing and payment resolution / Insurance Claims and EOBs. 
  • Good understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance. 
  • Ability to read and identify missing Clinical Documentation, Enrollment; and Payment Terms, and out of pocket expenses; Benefits Coordination with other insurance coverage.
  • Proficient with Computers / Technology. 

This role is in a very nice office building that is easy to access with Free onsite parking and a cafeteria.

Erik J. Heller has over 20 years of experience in the Recruiting and Staffing industry and has been with J.Morrissey since 1994 holding various roles with increasing responsibility. He is nationally recognized as a Certified Personnel Consultant and Certified Temporary Specialist.

He has experience placing Healthcare professionals into a variety of environments including: hospitals, managed care organizations, physician practices, management service organizations, home care agencies, and long term care facilities. In addition, Erik has a comprehensive understanding of Healthcare Reimbursement, the Revenue Cycle, Case Management and Managed Care.

Erik is a founding member and Chairman of the American Staffing Association’s Connecticut Regional Council, formerly known as the Connecticut Staffing Association, and is a Past President of the Connecticut Association of Personnel Services.  He served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee from 1999 to 2012 holding various roles such as Treasurer, 1st and 2nd Vice President Chairs. Other association’s Erik has involvement in: the National Association of Personnel Services, American Staffing Association’s Healthcare Section, Quinnipiac University Alumni Association, the Connecticut Medical Group Management Association, the Connecticut Case Management Society, and is a former Board member for the SummerWind Performing Arts Center.

Erik attended Quinnipiac College where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources.
