J. Morrissey & Co. has a BRAND NEW opportunity available! We are currently seeking an experienced Patient Scheduler for a GROWING private practice located in a beautiful office in Wallingford, CT.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, greeting patients and prospective patients and reminding them of upcoming appointments
- Scheduling appointments for new and existing patients, procedures and visits with medical personnel
- Updating patient demographics using Athena EMR software
- Taking and confirming patients insurance information
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated Customer Services Skills
- Experience receiving calls in a health care setting
- Comfortable with computers and phone systems
- Minimum 1 year of experience in any of the following roles:
- Medical Call Center Rep (scheduling, enrollment, benefits etc.)
- Patient Scheduler
- Surgical Schedulers
- Patient Access Representatives
- Medical Receptionist
- Insurance follow up Rep
- Athena EMR experience a huge plus!
