Full Job Description
New Opportunity in Windsor, CT! J. Morrissey & Co. is currently seeking experienced Medical Receptionists in a beautiful, fast-paced primary practice. This is a great place to work with On-Site Free Parking.
Key Functions/Responsibilities
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller's needs yourself
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
- Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Process payments from patients for co-pays
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Administration role
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical health care record systems.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
Schedule & Location Information
- The position is 40 hours a week
- Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Work Location: Windsor, CT

Abby primarily focuses on on-boarding candidates who have been hired for Temporary and Temporary to Hire assignments and placements within Healthcare positions, both Clinical and Non-Clinical, within the Provider and Payer Communities as well as Profit and Non-Profit environments.
Prior to joining J. Morrissey, Abby worked at a Multi- Site Orthopedic Physician Practice, where she developed skills in customer service and administrative duties. She is extremely excited to be joining our group where she can connect with people, continue to learn and grow, and further her Healthcare Administrative experience.
In Abby's spare time, she is the Head of the J. Morrissey fun Committee.
