6-Month Contract | 2nd Shift Available
Starting Pay: Approximately $20/hour
J. Morrissey is seeking a HIM Scan Technician to support a healthcare organization in Farmington, CT. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with electronic medical records, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
- 6-month contract
- Starting pay around $20/hour
- Prepare patient charts and medical records for scanning
- Scan and digitize medical records into electronic systems
- Index documents accurately within the electronic medical record
- Perform quality control checks to ensure records are complete and legible
- Maintain and organize medical records
- Ensure documents are properly assigned and stored
- Follow established HIM and document-management procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer knowledge
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks
- Healthcare or medical records experience is a plus
