Medical Records Technical Support

Assist with Electronic Health Records software or  issues or problems by responding to requests for assistance to Physicians, Nurses, Billing and non clinical end users regarding medical records/Electronic Health Records navigation, clicks, proper documentation to meet meaningful use criteria and other compliance measures.

Provide assistance with clinical or billing documentation, appropriate clicks, demonstrate how to running reports, navigate through EMR/EHR screens.

As a Medical Records Technician Support, you will receive requests for assistance either by phone or email. Enter and log issues in a database and ensure proper follow up and log issues and errors  into a call tracking system.

You may at times assist with other software upgrades projects, classroom training or elbow support as needed. 

Heavy telephone correspondence to non-computer proficient end users and demonstrate a professional phone response demeanor.


Qualifications:

Prior EMR or EHR Superuser Healthcare background working in an office setting using electronic medical records, billing record management .

Excellent customer service experience in healthcare with excellent communication skills to Physicians, Providers, Nursing and other clinical staff.

Bachelor’ s or Associates degree  preferred . 

Certification in healthcare is also desirable such as Health Information Management.
  • Experience Electronic Medical Records training 
  • Excellent Customer service, front desk, patient medical records knowledge.
  • Understanding of Accountable Care (ACO) or Meaningful Use is required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Technology skills in the use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access, EMR, EHR, Billing or Medical Records.
