Network Engineer Lead – Legal Industry
Our client is a top CT based regional Law Firm looking to add to a lead Engineer to their internal Infrastructure team. If you desire a position that allows you take ownership of the environment, break into management, provide guidance to lower-level Technicians, and to work autonomously, this is the right opportunity for you!
Direct hire position, 100-120K with a strong benefits package and forward-thinking company culture
Firm located in the West Hartford CT area
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the network infrastructure, datacenters, and firm wide technology assets such as servers, hardware, software applications and installations, firewalls and mobile hardware
- Ensure compatibility of all firm hardware and software upon new installations in all office locations
- Implement measures to secure the environment, including data security, off site DR, and business resiliency
- Provide guidance to lower-level Technicians as it related to routers, switches, firewalls, Windows servers, and the VMware virtual environment
- Provide feedback and complete performance evaluations on technicians and report to upper-level management
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with at least 8 years of relative IT experience
- In depth experience with network design and implementation, server/network administration, firewall management, software installations and vendor relations desired
- Strong knowledge of Dell, Cisco network equipment, VPNs, TCP/IP troubleshooting, Windows server 2012-2019, and WatchGuard firewalls /threat detection
- Prior experience with VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, MS Office 365 and Office suite
- Some experience with MS SQL server 2012, 2014, 2016 desired
- Experience with EMC SANS Storage, Synology NAS devices, cloud backup solutions, and Disaster Recovery
- Working knowledge of Skype for business, Microsoft Teams, MaaS 360 mobile security
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, high motivation, leadership and time management skills, and the ability to make oral and written presentations
