Oncology Clinic Patient & Data Coordinator

Job Description
- Serves as the primary organizer for Oncology/Cancer Treatment Clinical trials between patient, staff, the pharmaceutical Research Organization, Laboratory for results, Investigational Drug departments, diagnostic radiology, Institutional Review Board and Principal Investigator, MD
- Uses a high volume of tracking and entering updated data including patient demographics, insurance, medical changes including adverse reactions to therapy that have caused serious adverse effects.
- Assist Principal Investigator and team with protocol waivers, deviations and violations. Reports inconsistencies in patient data and red flags that would deviate the standard operating procedures required for study protocol.
- Reports and prepares corrective action plans and ensures implementation and adherence to stated plan.
- Monitors and guides clinic staff on report forms to ensure accuracy of documentation. Tracks all staff timelines per study protocol and identifies instances of noncompliance and communicates necessary deadlines to staff.
- Assists in communication with principal investigator by providing updates on protocol issues obtaining signatures and clinical significance on lab reports, ECGs, adverse events and other documents as required.
- Chart abstraction
- Stays current on daily changes of regulatory and policy requirements and monitors federal and state regulations for new guidance, updates, or policies.
- May participate in monitoring visits, internal and external audits as needed.
- Reviews follow-up letters, observation reports and other information to ensure all action items are responded to prior to the next scheduled interim monitoring visit. (as needed)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred
- Preferred Certification: (ACRP or SOCRA) or willing to obtain
- Required 2-3 years of Clinical trial regulatory experience or the equivalent combination of education or experience
- Preferred regulatory experience with pharmaceutical drugs and FDA regulations
- Preferred Oncology treatment experience
- Self-motivated to learn changing and required protocols and regulations while handling daily requirements.
- Ability to work in a highly fast paced environment with large amounts of medical record activity and changes.
- Proven ability to handle pressure and remain focused on accurately documenting patient data
- Has proven ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to accept guidance and follow direction
- Technology Skills: Advanced level of EMR (Epic) Experience, Ideally OnCore, Medidata rave or similar
- Excellent communicator both verbal and written working in a team environment, remote and with patients including telehealth.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Hybrid Work Model (three days on site/two remote)
Hartford County Must reside in Connecticut to commute to the Hartford Area

Here, she embraced Direct Hire Healthcare recruitment as her specialization.
In 2010, Krisha's entrepreneurial spirit led her to create the Information Technology division within the organization.
