Certified Phlebotimist Needed in Greater Hartford area!

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

Performs a variety of routine blood draws from patients including venipuncture, heel sticks and finger sticks using standard equipment;

collects non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum and throat swabs for lab testing; accessions specimens utilizing standard procedures for positive patient identification and records appropriate collection information in accordance with established protocol;

performs various quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and regulatory requirements;

provides clerical support such as, collecting co-pays, answering telephone calls, answering general questions concerning test orders and collections, taking messages or triages calls;

prepares test order forms and record entries in the reference laboratory policies, procedures and safety practices, contributes to the general lab functions and institutional needs;

 

EXPERIENCE

HS diploma; GED; 2  year minimum as phlebotomist in clinical  (CLIA) regulated lab within last 5 years. 

Assignment length: 6 months or longer – Hours vary from 8: 30am – 6: 00pm

Lisa’s staffing career began as the Branch Manager of Insurance Overload Systems where she was responsible for the successful start up of a new office through recruitment and placement of temporary and contract insurance professionals.

In the corporate arena, Lisa was a Staffing Specialist in the Corporate Recruiting Department for CIGNA where she was responsible for recruiting for all disciplines from Management level to Customer Service.
