Pre-Authorization Specialist (Surgical Services)
Job Description
This role is Monday through Friday; Full Time. 8am - 5pm
Location: Farmington, CT
Pay rate: $22 - $24 per hour!
A sample list of duties:
- Obtain procedure details / patient demographics and eligibility.
- Access and utilize insurance web portals to obtain authorizations.
- Work directly with insurance companies to provide all details needed for pre - authorization.
- Document all work in an EMR system.
- Communicate with internal staff, patients, physicians and insurance companies about eligibility.
Must have recent experience working in a back office physician practice handling the pre-authorizations as part of the billing process.

Prior to joining J. Morrissey, Ally worked for over 20 years in the financial industry as a Life Insurance Underwriter holding an Assistant Vice President title. While there, she was responsible for a number of initiatives including various recruiting efforts across her department.
