Product Owner - Embedded Systems
Job Description
Our client is a global manufacturing company and leader in their space, they are seeking an experienced Product Owner to guide the direction of a next generation product line. Direct hire position, 100-120K base salary range with a strong benefits package
Company HQ in the Meriden, CT area (suburban setting)
Roles and responsibilities:
- Plan and organize new product development and product feature backlog
- Create highly detailed product feature specifications with testable user acceptance criteria, and ensure each relevant team understands all aspects
- Lead scrum teams to identify product vison, roadmap, and all growth opportunities
- Communicate with stakeholders throughout product development lifecycle
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts to align project roadmap to set goals, and ensure product backlog is transparent and well understood
- Collaborate with Product Managers and business teams to create and maintain backlog in alignment with ROI/business value
- Assess value, develop cases/stories, to ensure the work aligns with overall product strategy
- Reduce risks and roadblocks by ensuring sprint/release goals are met
- Act as the liaison between Product Managers, Architects, and Developers to ensure requirements and acceptance criteria are met
- Lead product release plans and set expectations for future new function delivery
- Remain up to date on new trends and best practices for agile project management
- Bachelor’s degree in related field desired
- 5+ years experience in in product owner/development space required
- Experience with agile project management methodology
- Must be proficient with PM tools (JIRA, Trello, Etc.)
- Understanding of business value and ROI as it relates to features/functions
- Ability to manage conflicting needs among stakeholders
- Must have strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
