In partnership with a local client of ours, we are hiring for an experienced Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of our client's products, set by company, client, government, and industry standards. The QE will lead all quality activities such as inspections, process mapping, control plans, etc. and will be able to identify areas for improvement and implement improved processes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
- 5+ years in a Quality Engineer role
- DQR certification and internal audit experience preferred
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings, engine manuals, and documents such as bill of materials (BOM), and wiring lists
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- QC inspection tools such as calipers, height gages, blocks/pins, and other electrical equipment/software such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and PC-DMIS
- Maintain all inspection procedures - verify measurements of products, quality of finishes, rejecting any products that are below standards
- Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective action plans
- Inspection activities such FAIR report, materials review board (MRB) reviews
