SAP Technical Lead - Basis

Our client is a global manufacturer based in Connecticut looking to add a SAP Basis Technical Lead to their team. In this role you will take the lead on the design, customization, implementation, and deployment of SAP ERP enterprise applications.

Remote – New England – HQ in CT (Biweekly or Monthly Travel on site for company meetings)
Salary, 120 – 145K + Strong Benefits package

Responsibilities:
  • Work as the technical lead and perform analysis, design, customization, and deployment of SAP ERP applications using Basis, CRM, Enterprise Portal, NetWeaver, on Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems
  • Take part in a variety of technical projects, research products/emerging technologies
  • Design, develop, and implement end to end enterprise application integrations using SAP standards
  • Manage Basis scheduler, backup tools, operating systems and databases
  • Participate in agile meetings both local and global
  • Ensure strong performance of SAP systems and databases across modules (FICO, SD, PP, SM, MM)
  • Oversee performance analysis/optimization, security management (collaborating with Security Team), crisis resolution,
  • Manage databases and upgrades, OS installations/upgrades, and take ownership of incidents and resolutions
  • Manage incidents for non-SAP issues (NetBackup, oracle, etc.)
  • Perform Gap analysis, project planning, perform tuning of ABAP4
Qualifications:
  • B.S in Information Technology, CS, or at least 5 years of experience within the programming/ERP space
  • 3-5 years of experience in SAP Basis configuration and installation
  • At least 3 years of experience with customization and deployment of ERP SAP applications and systems
  • 3 years of experience working with SAP (SD, SM, PP, FICO, PP, MM) and Salesforce
  • Must have strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, production support, SAP implementations, upgrades, and migrations
  • Experience with Vertex connection, IBM EDI
  • Experience with ECC, Basis, NetWeaver, ABAP4, RDBMS, CRM, UNIX or Linux OS
  • Prior experience with BI tools (PowerBI, BW)
  • Experience leading Agile projects, and understanding of high availability and public cloud
