Senior Business Analyst – Hybrid

Our client is seeking to add a senior level Business Analyst to their team to ensure the execution and delivery of various investment management IT projects. If you want to join a team that promotes internal growth and an employee centric culture, apply below!

Salary range 170 - 240K, Benefits are 100% paid by employer medical, dental, and vision insurance (for employees, spouse and dependents)

Hybrid schedule, Midtown Manhattan (NYC)

Duties and responsibilities:

Act as the liaison between business users and IT personnel to plan and execute projects
Take part in project planning, incremental software delivery reviews and user acceptance testing, ensuring that the software has delivered as specified by the user
Take part in multiple projects simultaneously, including UX redesign project for reporting platform
Define business requirements and recommend solutions to business and IT teams
Develop and maintain strong relationships with various business teams (compliance, risk, executives, investment professionals) and IT team
Design and optimize complex workflows
Document business requirements, user criteria, use cases and workflow diagrams
Take part in quality assurance testing on all firm applications
Create user documentation and conduct user training and help tools

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or Finance, MBA/CFA is a plus
3 or more years of business analysis experience within Asset Management/Hedge Fund industry required
Prior experience with all phases of software development lifecycle, and user experience design
Experience with SQL, UX, Python, Excel required
General knowledge of hedge fund/investment firm applications (OMS, Risk, P&L Systems, reporting platforms)
Knowledge of financial services data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters)
Prior experience with buy-side order management system (Eze OMS)
Knowledge of global financial markets and instruments
Excellent writing and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
