Senior VMware Systems Administrator
Job Description
Our client is a well-established financial technology company looking to add a seasoned Sys Admin with a background in VMware and Windows administration. This role offers a collaborative work environment, growth, and the opportunity to work on key initiatives for the organization.
Hybrid role, Central CT
Salary range 100 – 125K with a comprehensive benefits package
Responsibilities:
- Configure, install, and maintain Windows servers, VMware environments, custom applications and related
- Deploy and troubleshoot VMware virtual desktops, virtual servers/workstations, applications, and cloud solutions
- Thoroughly document application and system configurations and standards for deployment
- Respond to client tickets, take part in DR, and respond to escalations from level I team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field
- Microsoft/VMware Certifications desired
- 5 years of experience of experience within systems administration, prior MSP experience desired
- Experience working with Windows OS/servers, VMware, VDI (Horizon View), Linux, AD, Exchange server, Azure AD, MS 365
- Prior experience working with email protection systems/anti-spam, email system maintenance/support, migrations, patching
- Proficiency working with OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune MDM, PowerShell scripting, and troubleshooting enterprise applications
- Prior leadership experience, strong communication, attention to detail, documentation, and customer service skills required
