Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Specialist
Pay: $17/ hr, depending on experience
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Location: East Hartford, CT
J. Morrissey & Company is in the search for a reliable team player to join our client's team as a Warehouse Specialist. The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for ensuring materials are transported properly throughout the warehouse. There are openings on first and second shift.
Our client is a large family owned manufacturing company which takes pride in creating a positive work environment for their valued employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in unloading delivery trucks and stocking incoming materials in their respective locations
- Locate, pick, transport materials from stock to be packed for delivery or to be used in manufacturing products
- Preparing orders for shipment by wrapping pallets
- Identify any damages or shortages in material
- Work in accordance with established safety guidelines
Requirements
- Must have consistent attendance
- Must have great coordination and organization skills
- Must be a team player and be able to communicate to coworkers and management to complete tasks properly and efficiently
- Must have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

Jake is a 2021 graduate from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Human Resources as well as a minor in Psychology.
