Software Developer – Remote (Contract)
Our client is a thriving, global organization that owns the largest market share in the US in their industry. They’re seeking a skilled Software Engineer on a contract (potential contract to hire) basis to play a key role in a code migration to .NET as the company continues to modernize. In this role you will be working with fellow contractors, internal developers, and leadership to drive this critical initiative. Once there will be opportunities to work alongside internal teams, and potentially be brought on full time if you're a proven performer.
Contract – 5-6 months (conversation to perm possible)
Pay range 40 - 55/hour
This can be W2 or 1099
Desired skills include:
• Prior experience with ASP.NET, C#, OOD
• Moderate experience with legacy Visual Basic 6, ActiveX/COM; OLEDB/ADO database access
• Understanding of XML, HTML; SQL databases and SQL query language
• Prior experience VB.NET with some C#.NET desktop application
• Ideally have experience with VB6 to VB.NET application conversions
• Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git source control repositories and Visual Studio 2022 is a plus.
