Job Description

Software Engineer – Embedded C

Our client is a rapidly growing company offering a unique product to national level energy companies. If you are looking to get into a role where you can take ownership of the development, testing, and maintenance of firmware for the company please apply below!

Salary range 90 – 115K with full benefits
Company HQ in the Bloomfield CT area

Responsibilities:

Take ownership of the development, test and maintenance of the firmware that is at the core of the company’s product offering
Develop and maintain the user interface for communication with the product
Design and implement the firmware of embedded devices/systems from production stage to commercial deployment
Design, code, test and debug software
Perform code review, analyze, and enhance system efficiency and power conversion
Validate and implement new product designs
Support software and manufacturing engineering
Provide post production product support
Interface with various teams (hardware design and development)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Prior experience with hands on development and troubleshooting of embedded software systems
Strong experience with C or C++, embedded system design, and real time operating systems
Knowledge of software configuration management tools, peer review, and defect detection tools
Strong knowledge of OS coding, IP protocols, MODBUS, RS485, RS232, SPI, UBS, hardware subsystems and LabView
Experience reading schematics and data sheets
Heavily desired skills include: IAR tools, Code Composer Studio, wireless systems, cloud computing, BSAP, Fieldbus, and DSP protocols
Must be self driven with strong communication skills
