Sr Analyst – Workday Financials (Remote East Coast)

Our client is an East Coast based and prestigious member of higher education looking for a Sr Analyst skilled in Workday Financials. In this role you will be the lead Workday analyst collaborating with department heads and the technical team. Remote, located on the East Coast (Candidates in Eastern or Central time zone preferred)
Salary range 110 – 130K, with an excellent benefits package; Generous PTO, Strong health insurance, tuition assistance for family members, 401K match  

  • Act as the lead point of contact for Finance department regarding the Workday integrated system
  • Analyze, validate, specify, manage, and test business process solutions and requirements related to all financial reporting
  • Identify and document Finance business requirements and translate needs into specifications for new system enhancements and reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, reporting user groups, project managers, and other members of the reporting team, acting as the liaison between user groups and the technical team for anything related to reporting and on going production activities
  • Configure security, user permissions, business process rules, and other system administrative functions for financial applications and reporting tools
  • Develop reports and dashboards using a range of BI tools across various financial systems
  • Gain deep understanding and knowledge of financial data and data structures and serve as the point of contact for data use/quality assurance
  • Leverage the use of technology to meet business needs and provide recommendations to finance leadership
  • Provide guidance to other team members in the use of systems and reporting tools
  • Develop user guides and presentations on the use/functions of the systems and tools
  • Work with vendors and the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues
  • Identify options and compare various systems and tools, make recommendations based on business requirements
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred
  • 6 years’ experience with financial systems and financial reporting
  • Workday financials/ Workday enterprise accounting and Finance software required
  • Must have strong financial, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to create high quality deliverables to meet business needs/future planning
  • Experience with report development and delivery working with various tools (Power BI/Excel) and relational/multidimensional databases
  • Strong presentation and relationship building skills are must
