Senior Administrative Assistant
Pay: $30/hr
Location: New Haven, CT (one remote day per week)
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Job type: Contract, with opportunity for permanent hire
We are seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to provide high-level operational and logistical support for the our client. This role will serve as the primary administrative resource for multiple leaders while also supporting faculty, and student as necessary. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, handling extensive event coordination, correspondence, scheduling, and procurement needs to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and oversee shared space scheduling
- Arrange domestic and international travel and process expense reports
- Procure goods and services, ensuring workspace upkeep and efficiency
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external offices
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new personnel
- Oversee administrative aspects of events, conferences, and presentations
- Assist with the preparation and submission of grant applications
- Draft and manage important reports, recommendations, and nominations
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of administrative experience OR Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience
- Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to interact with various stakeholders
