Job Description

Systems Engineer (Hybrid)

Our client is a leading managed service provider in the greater Hartford area looking to add a Systems Engineer to their growing team. If you are looking for an autonomous role where you can advance your career, lead projects, and offer guidance to lower level technician, this is the role for you.

Salary range $85-120K
Hybrid Schedule, starts more on site and moves to 2 days/week WFH
Office located in the Rocky Hill, CT area

Responsibilities:

- Support local small-mid sized businesses, completing full Server and Network configurations and installations

- Perform ongoing on site and remote support of Cisco networks, firewalls, MS Exchange Servers, O365, Hyper-V virtual Servers, and Azure cloud environments

- Communicate with clientele as required, keeping them informed of incident response progress, notifying them of impending changes or pre planned outages

- Perform Software/Database upgrades and installs, Firewall upgrades, Disaster recovery, and support remote offices with VPNs.

Requirements:

- Strong experience with MS Server Operating Systems, Windows Server 2019, 2016, 2012, Hyper V virtual servers, and Exchange 2019/2016

- Prior experience with routing, switching, and firewall configuration and maintenance

- Experience working with SonicWall and ConnectWise heavily desired

- Working knowledge of O365, hosting configurations, integrated security solutions, and MS Azure/AWS cloud environments

- 5 years of client facing field experience in the SMB market desired

- Currently hold some of the following certifications: MCTS, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, Security+, A+, Network+ preferred
