Trust Administrator

J. Morrissey is currently hiring for a Temp to Hire Trust Administrator in the Hartford, CT area that will have a caseload of trust beneficiaries that they will be responsible for.    This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8: 00am-5: 00pm.

Responsibilities include:
  • Communicating by phone, email or in person with beneficiary and/or their representative
  • Review requests
  • Process checks & maintain proper documentation
  • Analyze trust life based on current spending.
  • Ensure all support documentation is properly prepared and complete.
  • Prepare bills for payment.
  • Allocate billable time correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor account balances regularly.
  • Review files annually for Trust Review

Case Management
  • Provide advocacy as needed.
  • Participate in monthly committee meetings.
  • Visit clients as necessary and prepare visit reports.

General Duties
  • Maintain client files according to procedures.
  • Contact clients who have had no activity for extended periods.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Participate in training to stay current on changes in trust management, legislation, case law and Social Security and disability regulations.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 or more years of recent experience in an Accounting or Banking background required
  • MUST have strong critical thinking skills
  • Experience with people with disabilities a plus, but not required
  • MUST have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MUST have a strong attention to detail, sense of urgency and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills

Pay Rate: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
